For centuries garlic has been renowned for its medicinal properties. It has experienced a recent surge in popularity due to increased reports and studies focused on the health benefits of garlic. More people have made garlic a regular part of their diet, not only for the health benefits, but also for its great flavor. Still, many people have not experienced the full flavor of garlic. The garlic varieties found in supermarkets are almost always the less flavorful soft neck varieties. This is because soft neck garlic is easier to grow, with less labor involved. We believe that the hard neck varieties offer the best taste. This is why we grow the hard neck varieties that thrive in our central New York climate. The result, we believe, is some of the best possible garlic available. With good care, and a little luck, you too should be able to grow really great garlic with our seed.
